This carburetor is confirmed to fit a Stihl MS170 with some basic modification to the saw. Additional "fin" in the muffler on the clutch side will also help increase power. However, there have been mixed reviews on this product. One customer reported that the saw started running poorly after only a dozen pieces of wood were cut. Another customer was disappointed that the carburetor did not come with a gasket. Despite mixed reviews, some customers did note the good quality of the carburetor.
