Detalji o proizvodu
- Man has long tried to suppress the beast within him to be called civilized. Modern life domesticated him into a caged beast and the comforts it offers made him weak and fragile. Instead of strengthening himself, he follows the dictates of his herd and demonizes those stronger than himself; for he is driven by resentment and envy. This book seeks to remind man of all the good he can do by harnessing the traits of the beast within rather than suppressing it. The Alpha Beast borrows from the ideas of great thinkers, past and present, and incorporates their ideas into concepts relevant to our day and age. It is a critique of the post-modern condition that has corrupted man by trying to remove all his instincts, even that of self-preservation. The modern society can be described as having collective amnesia; for they are removed from their history, from their roots. The beast within can either be an enemy or an ally, it is for man to decide. If a man seeks to reverse the trajectory of his fate, he needs to embrace the alpha beast within and make it an ally. Today, the society of modern man praises weakness and shuns strength. With struggles for survival largely subsided and the death of his narratives, man inflicts upon himself suffering for meaninglessness, a phenomenon contrary to the instincts of the alpha beast and certainly an abhorrent act in the greater scheme of things.
