One of the most significant benefits of the meter is that it maintains the memory of its last reading for up to ten years without power. Plus, it works with 220V systems, including those with or without a neutral or ground, and up to 100A. Although the meter only displays total kWh, it calculates the kWh using volts x amps x power factor. It records Total kWh, regardless of direction. Therefore, if you pull in 5 kWh from the grid and send out 5 kWh to the grid, the meter will display 10kWh. Installation is relatively simple, but the product does not include a mounting plate.
