Beastars Volume 1 is a highly recommended manga with an interesting storyline, balanced mixture of seriousness, humor, love story, and action. The creator, Paru Itagaki, manages to create an excellent reflection of our current society, unlike other artists. The manga is an excellent depiction of the various aspects of the society from racism, discrimination, Apathy to Reconciliation. The world-building is fascinating, leaving the reader craving more. While the story is primarily focused on anthropomorphic characters, it is not exclusively for furries. The artwork and style is impressive and well-executed, and the characterization is spot on. Overall, Beastars Volume 1 is an exceptional manga that manages to present society in a unique way.
