Some readers have found the book to be well-written, informative, and appreciated the author's detailed and thoughtful approach to the content. Additionally, the book is commended for its contextual explanations that provide valuable insights for beginners. However, there have been criticisms of the outdated content, with complaints about the use of old packages and deprecated Node modules, leading to frustration among some readers. The provided source code via GitHub was also noted to be outdated and not Consistently updated, which diminished the overall value of the book, especially for beginners. Additionally, the responsiveness from the author in addressing technical issues was mentioned positively. Overall, while the book offers a comprehensive understanding of JavaScript and its ecosystem, its outdated nature and lack of updated resources have impacted the reception among readers.
