The CURT 58090 Vehicle-Side 6-Way Round Trailer Wiring Harness Socket is a good quality solid socket. It is made of metal and has a tight spring that keeps the cap closed. However, it does not have a rubber seal on the backside, only a cover. The socket needs a hole of about 1 1/4 inches or 32mm to be drilled, and the base measures 30mm. It is an easy replacement for those who want to replace their plastic socket. However, the socket has some compatibility issues, as it may not connect to some Roadmaster 6-pin cord connectors.
