The core functionality of the TetherBoost Pro USB 3.0 Core Controller lies in its ability to regulate power from DSLR/Digital Backs to the computer, overcoming the limitations of under-powered or dynamically-powered USB 3.0 ports often found in computers. This device allows your tethered connection to operate at full USB3 speeds for tethering connections ranging from 15 to 65 feet without any loss in signal. Featuring the TrueConnect LED indicator, the TetherBoost Pro USB 3.0 Core Controller ensures signal connectivity between your DSLR, Mirrorless, or Digital Back camera and your computer. This device can be used with or without external power, providing a reliable connection in either scenario. However, adding power to the line can reduce the drain on camera and computer batteries. The TetherBoost Pro USB 3.0 Core Controller comes with an optional USB DC cable for adding a USB external battery pack (sold separately) or AC power (adapter included). This device also includes a JerkStopper Extension Lock, a locking device designed to protect cable ends from disconnects, damage, and electrical hazards. The JerkStopper Extension Lock features a simple clam-shell design and comes with two included rubber washers that waterproof your connection, providing further protection and holding the cable securely in place.
