    Odgovor: It can cut through polystyrene and hard foam.

    Odgovor: The cutting wire heats up to full temperature in less than 1 second.

    Odgovor: Yes, the aluminum composite surface allows for smooth gliding, ideal for detailed template work.
  • Pitanje: Does this Proxon table require a Proxon power adaptor?

    Odgovor: Nope. Mine was good to go right out of the box.
  • Pitanje: Can I cut circles / discs of 30 cm diameter? Can I cut 10-30 degree angles at the side? Can it cut Plastazote LD70?

    Odgovor: Sorry, I know nothing about Plastazote. You certainly can do those things you want with the cutter. Take a look at Gerard Boom from the Netherlands. He's got a slew of tutorials showing the many tricks you can perform. https://www.shiftinglands.com. He also sells some nifty tools that make it all pretty easy. Cheers John

    Odgovor: The hot wire cutter has its own 240volt power supply built into its base. There is no need to buy a separate power supply. John
  • Pitanje: What type of foam does this Proxxon cut?

    Odgovor: I've used styrofoam and polystyrene on mine, but as long as it's a thermoplastic it should work, just check if the material you want to use has a low flash point or gives off toxic fumes when melted.
  • Pitanje: Will this cut through 3 layers of fabric that are 2-3mm thick?

    Odgovor: Yes, it comes with an English manual/instructions. It was fairly easy as I did it the same day I got it within 15 minutes.
  • Pitanje: Will I need a UK power adaptor for this device?

    Odgovor: The one I got came with a UK Adapter. You just plug the 2 pin connector into the UK connector and you're ready to go.
  • Pitanje: Will this cut adhesive-backed open cell foam (1-5mm thick) with the paper back still on?

    Odgovor: Hotwires only cut polystyrene. They will not cut other materials such as paper.
  • Pitanje: Is the pedal included?

    Odgovor: No, the pedal is a separate purchase.
