Superheroes Editorial Review
Kelly Thompson's Falling Star, the second trade paperback in her Captain Marvel run, has been positively received by customers. The book is a complete story and easy to jump into, with a clear and tightly plotted narrative that stays on track. While it builds on the previous arc, Re-Entry, readers don't need to have read it to understand Falling Star. The art by Carmen Carnero has been commended for its balance of gesture and realism, and its filmstrip panels that tell a great visual story. Some reviewers have noted that the book's tight focus has left little room for more fleshed-out side characters or characterization of Carol Danvers outside of her superhero business.
