The Thunderbird Butane Lighter Insert is a combination of metal and plastic which fits all standard Zippo sized cases. The product has dual flame options, a torch, and a soft flame. The trigger is used to light the torch while releasing it produces the soft flame. It has an adjuster for both flames which worked well for some customers while others found the soft flame unstable and erratic. The soft flame is not windproof. The product arrives empty and using butane by different brands like Zippo, Colibri or Ronson works well. The occasional use lasts for weeks or months, while half an hour with constant use. The product has a spring that operates the flip-top like a standard Zippo. The key issue with the customer feedback is the quality control.
