Windwitch is the second book in the Witchlands series which features Merik, the secondary male lead, as the main character, and his sister Vivia, who undergoes a lot of character development throughout the book. Readers also become better acquainted with Empress Vaness, Safi, Iz, and Aeduan. The novel uses miscommunication as a plot device, and the story twists are hit or miss for some readers.
