Ortofon Record Brush

**** The Ortofon Record Brush has garnered mixed reactions from customers, highlighting a divide between those who appreciate its effectiveness and those who report disappointing experiences. On one hand, several users laud the brush for its high quality and solid Construction, noting that it significantly outperforms other similar products when it comes to dissipating static electricity and sweeping dust off records. The design, particularly the handle, has been cited as an effective feature in managing static buildup, distinguishing it from less effective models. Conversely, a significant portion of users express dissatisfaction, particularly regarding the brush's tendency to shed fibers, leaving debris on recordings, which can compromise sound quality. Some reviewers have raised alarms about the brush's stiffness and blunt bristles, which they claim can scratch valuable records—leading to frustration among audiophiles who expect a product of Ortofon's reputation to deliver superior results. Additionally, the bristles' effectiveness in removing dust has also been questioned, with some users mentioning that the brush simply redistributes dust rather than removing it comprehensively. This back-and-forth encapsulates the essence of the Ortofon Record Brush experience; while it may appeal to some users for its sleek looks and supposedly effective static management, its performance inConsistency, potential for damage to records, and shedding issues tarnish its reputation. **
