This product does not come with anti-slip protection, but, some customers have been able to add a layer to prevent slips and falls. Although the description is not very clear, the set includes everything in the second picture, not the longer shelf thing in the first picture. Many customers have been happy with this product and the resulting entertainment for their cats. However, some customers have expressed disappointment with the lack of anti-slip precautions.
