The Basic Training in Mathematics: A Fitness Program for Science Students 1995th Edition is a book meant for people who are already familiar with most of the topics presented in the book. While it is informal in presentation and takes a while to adjust to the author's idiosyncratic style, it does have some beautiful explanations in certain parts, particularly the chapter on vector analysis and the quick review of real analysis among others. The quality of the presentation varies throughout the book. The book jumps over to vastly different pages without giving any reasons for the 'leap'. The book can be Considered as a reference or review book for people already fluent in the subjects covered. The Kindle edition of the book is a poorly laid-out version.
